today is a big step because we have votedto move forward onto the bill, a bill that's been crafted by senator reid, our majorityleader, taking two other bills putting them together. it's a good solid piece of legislation andi look forward to debating it and working on it and improving itover the next several weeks and the bottom line is what we're striving for is coverageof every new mexican. and we'll give new mexicans choices at variouspoints in the health care system that we have in place now. we're going to see insurance reform. so ifyou have an insurance policy now and you like

it and you're going to keep it. they're not going to be able to drop you becauseof pre-existing conditions. they're not going to be able to drop you ifyou have a serious illness. i mean there's a good strong public optionin this bill and that's something that we need to get the message out on because peopleare going to have insurance exchanges and have the public option be a part of that. that'll give us competition in the publicmarketplace, but the bottom line for new mexicans with this vote is we're one big step closerto quality, affordable health care for all of our citizens.
